Выращивание зеленого лука в воде
Лук часто «сажают» в банки, в упаковки из-под яиц, пластиковые стаканчики с водой. В этом случае земля не требуется, что удобно. Однако несмотря на кажущуюся простоту посадки лука прямо в воду, этот способ можно отнести к трудоемким. Также он имеет ряд недостатков. К примеру, в воде корни часто загнивают. Требуется ежедневно мыть поддон и наливать свежую воду. А лук, растущий в почве, нужно просто полить.
Проращивание лука в опилках
Некоторые считают, что в качестве субстрата для выращивания зеленого лука дома подходят опилки: они хорошо впитывают влагу, а отдают ее постепенно. Однако специалисты этот вариант критикует. Опилки обычно используют под культуры, растущие на кислых почвах, с рН 5,5-6. Лук на таких почвах чувствует себя плохо, ему нужен нейтральный или слабощелочной грунт, с рН в диапаз0не 6,4-7,9
Посадка луковиц в почвосмесь
Самый простой и эффективный вариант. Некоторые берут пятилитровые бутылки, в стенках которых вырезают отверстия – при таком способе лук выращивается вертикально, что экономит место на подоконнике. Другой популярный вариант – использовать широкий горшок. Специалисты рекомендуют сажать луковицы в рассадные ящики мостовым способом. «Лучшая глубина – 10 см, ее будет достаточно для развития корневой системы.
Если дачного участка нет – это не значит, что за свежей зеленью придется отправляться исключительно на рынок. Многие пряные растения достаточно просто вырастить дома, создав собственный огород на подоконнике. И это не только лук, петрушка и укроп.
